Because of Good Friends

Before I found them

Everything receeded into darkness

Casual acquaintances because of some sick status of popularity

All fake

Underneath all of the parties and school dances

Something real was missing

Entire aspects of friendship faded away

I wanted to laugh and spill my heart.

Light shone from their happy souls as they welcomed me

Over and over again we giggled about the craziest things

Vacant eyes no longer, unhappy no longer

Effervescent air filled with the joy of my friends

Yesterday was toxic and shrouded in fake

Onwards there is solely exuberance

Upwards there is only warm people and glowing memories.
