Because I Believe

I let your words cling to me.

When the shadows of the Earth run deep, your warmth is what I seek.

I know I can rely on you, my smile is yours to keep.

But sometimes it's hard to see. Sometimes it´s nothing more than calamity.

Words are spoken. Hearts are broken and you´re left with a token of remembrance.

But then we talk, we work it out. Communication is what it´s all about.

I believe in your words. They keep me safe at night.

I believe in your actions. You protect me with all your might.

I believe in the moments of greatness, though they don´t outweigh the confusion.

Regardless of our strife, I love you. That is my conclusion.

And when the time comes that I must be strong for you, know without a doubt, that´s exactly what I´ll do.

When you lighten my skies, there´s only so much I can say.

But we belong to each other and only each other, getting better each day.

I believe in you.
