Because I Don't Love You

Why waste time?

There was no love in your words

in your shoves

in your hits.

I needed to be held

not hurt.

"It's

Because

I

Love

You"

a wretched excuse- that is what those words are.

Love doesn't mean to be envious

or disrespectful

or frightening

Love doesn't make you gasp for breath

feeling the thumping of your heart in your fingertips

feeling that there is no escape

alone

You were never a love.

You were a mistake.

Happiness,

Comfort,

Safety,

Love.

That is what I now have.
