Because I Love...

Because I love you,

you always come first,

even if I'm tired,

or my feelings are hurt.

Because you love me,

you check my phone,

you sift through texts,

when we're alone.

Because I love you,

I try to make time,

I put tremendous effort,

into your peace of mind.

Because you love me,

you tell me when I need to change,

you provide a way,

for a personality exchange.

Because my friend loves me,

she told me to break it off,

she said that sometimes,

unhealthy love just insn't enough.

Because I love myself,

I won't let it go on,

I'm saying good-bye,

tomorrow I'll be gone.
