Because I Love How He Makes Me Feel Safe

You're the calm, warm breeze to the raging thunderstorms I have created.

The only ocean that can purify me.

Baptize my soul of angst,

my soul of opacity.

Wash me over with your waves of compassion,

and be the warm sunshine that beams down on me.

Pull me close to shore when the dimness casts over me.

Hold me close.

And be the first hint of light I see when I’m no longer afraid to open my eyes again.
