Because I love me

So… Let me get this straight...,

Because you… because you love me

I shouldn’t frolic about with my friends?

And because you love me

I should wear dresses that go down to my knees

I should do everything in my power to please you,

Because you love me

I permit you to rip me apart limb from limb

I permit you to use me when you want to fulfill your ecstasy,

Because you love me

I am supposed to let you put your hands on me,

In ANY way, shape or form,

I am supposed to let you take your issues and failures out on me

Because you love me

You can play with my emotions

You can forsake and neglect me

Because you love me

You can tell me not to work

You can make me cook, clean and pamper

Because you love me

You can force… NO

I refuse to let you tear me down

You will not be the cause of my failure in life

I will not be a part of this “love”

For this love is not for me

I will not waste my life away

I am worth more

I have more to offer

I am strong and I know that

Love is care

Love is bountiful

Love is unconditional

Love ends…

Never

I will not accept your type of love…

because I love me!
