Because I Love You
A loving relationship is not always easy to spot,
A relationship can appear healthy to outsiders.
Looks can always be deceiving however,
What looks like two loving people walking down the street holding hands,
Can really be an abused person at home.
A healthy relationship should be one of love,
There should not be any hate or jealousy.
Each party of the relationship should be forgiving,
Partners should encourage the other with everything they do.
A healthy relationship should make both people involved happy.
When put together, the phrase because I love you,
Should not be used in any demeaning way.
It should not be “I do this because I love you.”
It should be used as “I got you this because I love you.”
When saying because I love you,
You should actually love that person.
If it is used after abuse has happened,
Or used to bring someone down,
It's not love.
