Because I Love You

Because I Love You, the weight I carry equals that of your small frame.

Because I Love You, the bags under my eyes are as light as the teeth in your smile.

Because I Love You, my favorite constellation resides in your eyes.

Because I Love You, my throat is never dry, nor are my eyes ever wet.

Because I Love You, the sun is as bright as your smile.

Because I Love You, my heart beats to each syllable of your name.

Because I Love You, the rain is no longer sad, as for when I'm with you, I see the beauty in every surrounding second.
