Because I love you

I’m thankful for your thoughtfulness

Sometimes I wonder why I was blessed with something like this

You tell me that you love me every day

Just like my dad did

When I’m not in a good mood you know exactly what to say

Just like my dad did

You finish my sentences when I cant find the words to say

Just like my  dad did

I’m happy that I found a man who respects me and treats me

Just like my dad did

You love me

Just like my dad did

I watched my dad struggle every single day but he never forgot to tell me

“I love you baby girl.”

His constant reassurance was more for himself then it was for me

Now that I’m older I understand

My dad wanted me to find an extraordinary man

A man with a plan

A plan  to love me just like he loved me

So I’m thankful for your love, your respect, and your time

I love you because you loved me at the drop of a dime

You disregarded my flaws at the time

I love that I’m able to call you mine

Because I love you I wont waste your time

You’re still here?

That must be a sign

True love lasts a lifetime
