Because I love you

Because I love you I hate myself

Because I love you I gave up the stars to play in the dirt

Because I love you I don’t smile at the sun nor do I dance with the leaves

Because I love you I dwindle away as the seasons change

Because I loved you I forgot my name

Because I loved you I will never be the same

And it was all because I loved you
