Because I Love You

When I was little My Daddy would sit me down and he would say

Because I love you I never want you to get hurt.

So when Michael hits me, I know it's not love .

My Dad would say because I love you, I treat you like a princess.

So when Terrell yells at me and calls me names, I know it's not love .

When he's mad at me because the towels aren't lined perfectly I know

Or when he tells me that I will never amount to anything I know it isn't love.

My Dad would tell me he only wants what is best for me and for me to be happy .

So when Ernesto takes everything that ever made me happy away

I KNOW THAT ISN'T LOVE !

So Thank You Dad, for showing me what love is.
