Because I Love You

The time has come for me to say what’s needed

Hurt will settle each time I choke out the words

Tears will travel down my cheeks and my chest will feel tight

But because I love you, I have to let you go

Every moment that I spent with you was special

It will be a memory carved into my heart and soul

It’s because I love you that I will always wait for your answer

Whatever your choice may be I will accept as my own

Denial will never erase the fact that I love you

I know God has a season for everything

So maybe our season has yet to come

My main focus it to make things right for us

I never want you to feel alone

So always remember that I am with you

Remember my smiles, my hugs, my kisses

Always smile, never frown no matter what

I leave you with something that is forever and deep

A shoulder to lean on when you’re in trouble

A prayer that will help you in life

And friendship, because I love you.
