Because I Love You
One day, I'll take you on a grand adventure across the seas,
Because I love you, and think you deserve happiness.
In a few years, we'll both be done with school and I will marry you,
Because I love you and want you in my life.
Soon, we'll set aside time to play games, watch your favorite Korean cooking shows, and laugh together,
Because I love you and have fun with you.
Tomorrow, we'll tell each other about our days over a long phone conversation,
Because I love you and miss you.
Tonight you're feeling insecure and lonely and a little sad.
"It's ok, my dear. You are perfect," I say. "Why?" you reply.
I think back to a fight, months ago, when I asked you why.
You said "I can give you a million reasons, from your wit to your smile, but really…
It's because I love you."
So I tell you, "It's ok because I love you, just because you're you."
