Because I love you

Because I love you ..

I work two jobs to keep food on our table

The pain in my back is growing

Soon I'll be bowing

Not to a god

Or an angel

But to a doctor saying I can't keep going the way I have

Telling me to slow down or to take a break

Soon I might ..

The pain screaming for me to break

But I will not be broken

I turn in a token and move on

Shift a gear and keep going

Babygirl, Daddy’s hurting

I won't be here forever

Neither will your mother ..

Sorry to get gruesome

I do all this because I love you

Please do what you have to do

Don't let your kids see you the way you had to ..

I push my limits so you won't have to

Work hard in the books so you don't have to in a truck

Or a blade

Mija, my love

Look under these gloves

There isn't doves

It's cracked skin -

Blood

The heat has a toll

He's like a troll

I gotta pay it so I can cross this bridge

I want to binge

Not on food, but on the time I have left with you

The older we get, I'm losing you

It's okay because, babygirl

mija

my love

My heart, my soul

My everything

I love you
