because i love you

because i love you

such powerful and convincing words

that echo in the heart's chambers

like a melody sung to a well

because i love you

i respect you and treat you like my equal

you balance my half of the scale

because i love you

i communicate with you

although physical and emotional barriers may separate us

i permeate the wall between us

in order to mend the patches of our love's quilt

because i love you,

i will never stop loving you

call me tomorrow morning

or ten years from now at 3 am

i will pick up the line you cast

because i love you
