Because I love you
Because I love you
I choose to be with you even when our relationship is not at its best.
I choose to love you because I know it’s more than a feeling.
It won’t always feel like love, I know.
Because I love you
I won’t leave at the first sign of struggle in our relationship.
And I refuse to “stick it out” and promise to work through it with you.
Because I love you
I love every piece of you.
From the freckles on your neck to the way your spine dips on your back
To the way you arch it when my fingers run over it.
Because I love you
I choose to build a life with you.
Because you’re the first friend I’ve ever actually made and that in and of itself is building.
Because I love you
I will take care of you.
Not just be that “shoulder to cry on” But be the person when actively eases your pain.
Because I love you
I will work for you.
I won’t ever stop trying to win your heart.
I will always flirt with you and make you feel like it did in the beginning.
Because I love you
My days are better.
Having a love for you that fills my heart every morning is more natural than breathing.
Because I love you
I will always remind you
That no matter how you look, you are always that handsomest man alive.
Because I love you
I will tell you when you’re wrong.
I will not let you self-destruct,
Because I love you
I will motivate you and push you.
I will point you to God when you need it most.
Because I love you
I promise to always do so.
I promise to always remember that you are mine and that I choose to be yours.
