"Because I Love You"

It’s hard to find out what love means,

When you’re so young, so impressionable,

Searching for something you think you want,

Only to find something you didn’t need.

The world tells you to love,

But doesn’t tell you how to discern between

What is love and what is not, before it is too late.

Unfortunately, the only way to know is trial and error.

The only way to see is with eyes with wisdom behind them.

The only way to know the words: “Because I love you” aren’t real,

Is to know what love feels like, and to not feel loved at all.
