Because I Love You

Because I love you I will love myself.

At the start of our relationship,

Both of us were hypocrites,

We were stubborn and acted a fool,

We were both each others personal tool,

Tempers were high stubborness apparent,

Not for awhile did we learn to be transparent,

We wanted what we wanted, and it could not be subdued,

But everything that changed it was truly because of you,

Lust and Greed are quite powerful things,

But Love is a force that not even scholars could see,

As time grew on we both became sick of the fights,

Giving in to each others wishes to avoid the all too common blight,

We learned to trust, we learned to care, negative emotions aside we would shove,

Because of each other we both learned how to love,

Before I met you I was in quite a dark place,

Lonely, cold and unforgiving

Like the deepest realm of outer space, 

But all this fighting I could not bare,

It was breaking this incredible love we both shared,

Battling depression, anxiety and all this pain we call life,

What I found in you was reason enough to strife,

I don't know what it is,

I don't know what to call it,

You were all the reason in the world for me to change,

Your beautiful, elegant silly self,

Because I love you I have learned to love myself.
