Because I Love You...

Because I love you...

You walk on me like I am nothing, but little do you know

I am the stilts that hold up the bridge that holds YOU up from sinking in the water.

I am the life vest that saves you from drowning and the air bag that saves you from flying out of that window because you have no control...

Because I love you...

You walk on me like I am nothing, but I am the side walk that supports you under your feet on your journey from point A to point B.

I am the clothing on your body that protects you from the vicious heat and the tooth brush that cleanses your crooked teeth...

When I came, I came for free.

But when I came, you took everything I had left in me including my dignity and I let you walk all over me

Yet I am the reason you became everything you wanted to be.

Because I love you...
