Because I Love You

I have done all I could

I sacrificed my life for you

I worked for hours to pay for your health

And spent so much of my time

To give you happiness

I get angry when you fall down

Because all I've done is build you up

I get sad when you change your path

Because I was on my hands and knees in the mud digging it perfectly for you

I get disappointed when you turn around

Because you're not going that way

But you are mine

And you are strong and kind and smart and beautiful

Inside and out

You will climb mountains and sail across oceans to get to the finish line

Because your path is exciting and exilherating and extraordinary

And so are you

Once you hit the end of a path, you will begin another

You are a success that just keeps accomplishing more

All in just one little body

So I will keep digging

I will keep fighting

I will keep working

And I will keep sacrificing everything I possibly can

To give you everything I possibly could

So you can be on top

But it gets lonely at the top

So do not be afraid, be hungry for more

Exceed the top

Go for the sky, the stars, the galaxy

Go for it all

Even if you fall

Because you can never get up if you never fall down

So use your defeats as your strengths and climb

I will be right behind you to catch you

Every. Single. Time.

And why will I do this? Put you before me?

Because I love you.
