Because I love You

Because I love you I will not abuse you

I love you shouldn't be met with pain and aingst

Love engulfs the soul, not the person

Love is limited, fragile and thin

Love is promises that are not broken,

bodies that are untouched,

Love is pure and complete

If this is all love is and should be

why do I fear love?

glass shattered on the floor,

holes in the walls,

marks on my body,

unpure thoughts of the mind,

why is it that the love in my life has caused

fear of others

fear of happiness

fear to live

If love is found in all things,

where is the love in you?

Love is sent in fists instead of flowers

in coersion instead of cheerfulness

and in blood instead of benevolence

What love should be and what love is

is divergent to the love that is felt
