Because I Love You
I loved you because I couldn't "live" without you
Without you "I couldn't function"
I loved you because I let you control me
I loved you because I believe your lies
I loved you because I let you damage me
I loved you, because you owned me
You never loved me, you needed me
You needed to control me
You needed me to believe your lies
You needed to damage me to heal yourself
I was blinded by love
Like curtain closing across my eyes
I didn't know what you had done to me until it was over
That's not love
Love is respecting one another
Love is treating them how you want to be treated
Love is finding happiness within eachother
That is love
I have been used before
I have suffered
I have died inside
Now I am reborn
I am strong
I am me again
I have now found true love
A healthy love
A love that makes me feel great
I love you
I love the way you make me smile
I love how you treat me
I love how you would never hurt me
The best part is
That you feel the same
That is love
