Because I Love You...

Because I love you,

I saw something in you,

I admired how social you were.

Because I love you,

it hurt seeing you with her,

but she didn’t want to be with you.

I helped you with her,

even though my heart was breaking.

Because I love you,

I was your best friend first.

I fell in love with your personality,

and your looks were a bonus.

Because I love you,

I helped manage your temper

Because you saw her with someone else.

I helped you get over her, it was not healthy for you.

Because I love you,

I had to tell you how I feel.

I could not hold it back.

and I did not regret that at all.

you ended up feeling the same way.

Because I love you,

I waited and gave you time.

you were still healing from the broken.

Little did we know,

I helped piece your broken heart together.

Because I love you,

I kissed you,

and it changed everything.

Because I love you,

I know what happiness feels like

and I am surrounded by the warmth of care you provide.

Because I love you,

I found the sense of who I was,

I discovered myself with you.

Because I love you,

the gray clouds were not so bad

and I learned to appreciate the rainy days.

Because I love you,

I know what true love feels like and, although it's a rollercoaster,

I love the ride that comes along with it.
