Because I Love You

Because I love you

Fixed the blinds to welcome light,

Always walks me through the night,

Because I love you.

Because I love you

Tucks me into clean white sheets,

Tells our story on repeat,

Because I love you.

Because I love you

Never lets me carry bags

Treats my love like it’s his flag

Because I love you.

Because I love you

Kisses me upon the cheek

Holds me tight when skies are bleak

Because I love you.

Because I love you

Sometimes makes me yell and cry

But never, ever says goodbye

Because I love you.

Because I love you

Doesn't ever leave a bruise

Doesn’t harm me or abuse

Because I love you.

Because I love you

Doesn’t hurt me with his words

Doesn’t keep mistake records

Because I love you

Because I love you

Doesn’t ever tell a lie

Doesn’t alter or disguise

Because I love you

Because I love you

Lights a fire on colder days

Burns to keep our love ablaze

Because I love you
