Because I Love You


Because I love you

I pick up every time you call

Listen to every thought that keeps you up at 3 am.

I stand behind you in case you fall at times

Putting my hand on your shoulder, so you know I’m right here.

I put your needs above mine

I see your pain in which I put on myself unknowingly to feel closer to you.

Every fear, dream and aspiration has all been discussed

And analyzed

Which make me feel closer to you to know the thoughts running laps in your mind

More than any panting breath, heavy heartbeat or drop of sweat ever will.

Space was created for the fear of getting close

Not for the lack of communication.

Neither for you wrongly treating me.

Or even leaving the wrong impression with your actions

And unwilling to back them up with your words.

But for the lack there of
