Because I Love You
Because I love you,
I never have much of a reason why I do what I do.
People look at the two of us,
And they wonder why there's never a fuss.
Through all of our ups and downs,
The noise of the constant hidden I love yous are the only sound.
"Buckle up when your driving," you say,
"That way I'll be able to see you later in the day."
You tell me, "Don't forget to eat dinner tonight."
"Oh, and if there's anything you need help with, let me know. Alright?"
You make sure to call me every morning so I wake up for school.
Gosh, that always makes me smile like a fool.
I constantly hear, "You truly are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen."
When you say that, I feel nothing less of a queen.
As much as I love the gifts that come as a surprise,
There is nothing better than when we just lay together looking at the sky.
You never expect more than I could give.
When I am with you, I finally have a reason to live.
No matter what comes my way, I know you'll always have my back.
Whenever I am down and out, you pick me up and we go driving for hours.
Either that, or you come to drop off my favorite flowers.
You know how to take care of me at my very worst.
No matter what, you always make sure to put me first.
All of my best memories are caused by you.
By your side, I don't think I've ever seen skies so blue,
Without even saying anything outloud, I can hear you screaming those three precious words with just a single look.
All the times you make fun of me, most of the time for being a horrible cook,
I know the secret message that lies behind them all.
I can't help myself but to believe you when you tell me that you're in it for the long haul.
Throught all the hidden letters you leave for me and the endless love that I recieve,
I know that I could never ever leave.
There are times where I think that I don't deserve you because of how well you treat me.
You just shake your head and call me silly.
When I ask you why you do all that you do,
You give me a simple answer, saying with a smile, "It's all because I love you."
