Because I Love You
You said you loved me right?
So why was there tears streaming from my face every other night?
Tears that you caused, tears I couldn’t help, Tears of pain, in which u never felt. I gave you my heart, treated you like royalty; all I wanted in return, was loyalty.
Where was the honesty, you knew what that meant to me, instead all I got was lies, do you know what that did to me?
You broke my heart.
Stomped on it and threw it away, tried to express my feelings, you told me to save it for a rainy day.
Was it ever love? Was playing with my emotions apart of your fun?
Honesty, compassion, loyalty, and romance was all I ever wanted, I got none.
But thank you for this lesson, because now I am strong.
No more time for stressing. You can no longer string me along.
Because now I love me, the flaws and all.
A love that is unbreakable, the greatest love of all
