Because I Love You

Because I love you...

I don't have to pretend to be someone I'm not

I don't have have to smile when really I feel my world slowly collapsing around me

I don't have to meet false expectations

I don't have to be perfect

Because I love you...

I feel I become smarter everyday

I feel like a better person to others, as your compassion radiates to me

I feel like I can talk to you about anything, no matter its value

I feel safe and free

And Because you love me...

You respect my values and upbringing

You won't push my limits simply to have impressive locker room talk

You will always be there for me when I need you

You value who I am

Because I love you...

You love me
