Because I Love You

I value you

I respect you

I would never neglect you

Or subject you to

The unnecessary altercations that end in

Irritation, exasperation, frustration

This does not mean we won't disagree

But I can promise you that

I'll never put my hands on you to make you see

That I'm right

but that's not the point

point is we'll fight

But I would never disrespect you

Or make you feel like you have to disrespect me

We'll have boundaries

Certain things that I don't feel comfortable with

We won't do

I'll never be your adversary

We'll rally for eachother

With nothing to prove

Because with our love

Comes Certainty

and that warm feeling I get

When you show you love me
