Because I Love You

Because I love you,

Your privacy is yours to keep

Your friends and your mind too

In sickness and in health I’ll stay

and never make you weep

Together we could spend the day

If that was what you wanted

And if work or school kept you away

Or if you longed for time with friends

I’d support you undaunted

I know I’m not your only love

Friends and family still have your heart

But I know that I am lucky, love

Of your life to have a part.
