Because I love you
Interesting are the needs of every human being
Hunger’s satisfaction by food in the stomach
Ice cold water quenching the largest of thirst
A sense of safety only a home can bring
But humanity is dependent on more than these
For what can sate the desires of the heart?
Only love can achieve such monumental task
Yet, soured love brings even the strongest bond to its knees
The recipe for nutritious relationships require ingredients
Three sticks of effort, a cup of communication
Two tablespoons of sacrifice, and a pinch of faith
Creation of a healthy connection forms with these elements
A bond without effort is a bird refusing to fly
Lazy partners and friends are worse than none
But, consider looking at one’s own work ethic as well
Endeavor when it comes to a beloved, give them a try
Recognized as the crux of healthy relations is communication
Texting, calling, and talking are all involved, yet
Does that mean the conversation is meaningful, or being heard?
Knowing and understanding loved ones should be everyone’s motivation
Sacrifice is also fundamental to this recipe
The selfless giving of precious time, energy,
And Affection’s endless gentle caresses
These losses will be our gain, and result in prosperity
The last ingredient, a hint of trust
Faith the size of a mustard seed is said
To be able to move the mightiest of mountains
This type of confidence in a partner is a must
To my friends, my family, my loved ones
I give you all my effort, and all my attentiveness
I give you my sacrifices, and my complete trust
All because I love you
