Because I Love You
You take my hand and we are exquisitly strong,
Something I have been wanting and praying for for so long.
My fingers a weak and frail,
Yet your strong ones to wamm mine never fail.
Your sculpted hands have never done me harm,
They are gentle and special like a charm.
Your lips are soft as silk so delcet,
Day and night, season to season, for them I covet.
Your words flow smoothly as if musical notes,
Never harsh or cruel as into my heart they float.
Your deep brown eyes are trustworthy and wise,
They cloud with sympathy whever I or another cries.
You pick me up when down I fall,
Carefully as if I were a porcelain doll.
You are never the reason I am on the ground,
Yet you alwsy help me to my feet with soothing sound.
I ask you why you do these things for me,
"This you do not see,
But I will sing it out strong and bamboo,
It's because I love you."
