Because I Love You

Loving you was like coming up for air

My whole life I wondered if loving someone felt like drowning

I feared what heartbreak felt like

I never wanted to experience cold feet, pressure or sinking when I should swim

You came along and changed the game for me

It was fast and probably at the wrong time,

But how could something so wrong, feel so right

Now I am ready to leap

Now more than ever, I am ready to take risks

Love shouldn't be so scary that you become ok with living without it

Because of you I can trust without question

Loving you was like coming up for air…

Air I didn't know I needed, but so glad I found.
