 Doesn’t mean you own me

Love is not ownership over a lover.

 Doesn’t mean that I have to adhere to your principals

Love is not an infliction of ones ideals onto their lover.

Doesn’t mean that I am your servant

Love is not dominance over one's lover.

Doesn’t mean you can confine me

Love is not restriction.

 Doesn’t mean that I have to tell you every detail of my day

Love is not obsession.

Doesn’t mean you take over my identity, my thoughts, and behavior.

I will wait for you but won’t pressure you.

I will smile for you and cry for you.

I won’t tell you my feelings.

I hope you love me too.

I don’t want you to change for me

I know that love is freedom                                                      

The freedom to be oneself

And be loved because of who they are
