Because I Love You

Because I know you, I wave in the hall.

Because I know you, we talk on the way to class.

Because I like you, I start to flirt.

Because I like you, I steal a kiss.

Because I like you, we begin to date.

Because I love you, I say it first.

Because I love you, we get married.

Because I love you, I stay awake until you get home.

Because I love you, I hide the bruises.

Because I love you, I convice myself it's my fault.

Because I love you, I hold on.

Because I love myself, I get help.

Because I love myself, I walk away.

Because I love you, I let you go.
