Because I love you...

Because I love you, I will let you be free. Because freedom doesn't mean knowing who you're with or what you're doing 24/7.

Because I love you, I will respect you because respect is one of the highest forms of love.

Because I love you, I will support you in trying times and never get mad at you for trying to be a better person.

Because I love you, I won't take your silence as anger. I will understand that we all need our space sometimes.

Now just because I love you doesn't mean that I will forget about my own self-love, or mental health.

I have to love myself, grow myself, before I can love and grow with you.

For me, it is hard to let someone into my independent world.

But because I love you, I'm willing to try.
