Because I Love You
Each and every day
I wake to see your face.
In my heart you are my rising sun
And you are my number one.
Because I love you.
Since my youth my life seemed dark
Then you came and left your mark.
You showed me that there was light
And unveiled strength from my fright.
Because you love me.
You felt you had no purpose life
But then I pledged to be your wife.
By your side I promised to stay
And together we found our way.
Because I love you.
Some days from life I try to run away
Gently, those days you urge me to stay.
A hug and a kiss and I obey
Knowing with you I will not stray.
Because you love me.
Some days I see that you feel blue
I fight your demons to brighten your hue.
I battle away your anger or hurt or sadness
Making sure with me you feel blessed.
Because I love you.
In my thoughts I sometimes drown
But with your touch they quiet down.
With your touch I am okay
With you I can survive each day.
Because you love me.
Null and void life seemed to me
But then its worth you helped me see.
Forever and always we claim to be
Because I love you
And you love me.
