Because I Love You
“Because I love you”
I can use and abuse this term
Guilt you into thinking you are the reason this relationship isn’t standing firm
Because I love you, so I wouldn’t mess us up, it’s all on you
However, because I love you I won’t
Instead I will talk to you
Open up my heart and show my insecurities
Since I love you’ll never think it’s your fault
I love you so I will fight
Not against you but for you
Continuously building you up never putting you down
Loving you means if you’re down I am too so I refuse to leave you there
Because you love me I don’t do this on my own
You keep me close and assure me I will never be alone
Because we love each other we stick together
Hand in hand we face the problems any relationship endures
Helping the other reach goals that will better ourselves
Because we love each other we will last
