Because I love you

I put your intrests above mine

Because I love you

I push you to the best of your abilities

Because I love you

I helped you work out your tuition

Because I love you

I helped you buy a plane ticket

That carries you across the country

Because I love you

I watched you leave

To a different college 

Exactly 2,218 miles away from me

Because I love you

I smiled 

With hidden tears

Because I love you.
