Because I Love You

Because I love you,

I drive to your house everyday.

Your "flaws" are perfection to me,

Your shy personality is adorable,

I look forward to our afternoon naps.

I let you change my life.

Because I love you,

I let down my walls.

I breathe lighter,

Move closer,

Let my secrets fall out of my mouth.

I promise to never leave.

Because I love you,

I know distance is no problem for us.

We hug tighter,

laugh harder,

love more.

I know you will be my groom.

Because I love you,

I tell my new friends about you.

I miss you at night,

Think about our future home,

Make a countdown to seeing you.

I dream about being in your arms.

Because I love you,

I try to call.

I hear your voicemail,

Wonder what you're doing,

If you miss me.

I don't give up.

Because I love you,

I don't get mad.

I spend more time with friends,

in the gym,

at parties.

I focus on making me happy so you don't have to.

Because I love you,

I know you too well.

I see your boredom,

Hear the silence,

Miss the Iloveyou's.

I see what I never wanted to.

Because I love you,

I know what I have to do.

I break my own heart,

Let my tears fall,

Say what you need to hear.

I break my own promise.

Because I love you,

I see a future.

I sit,

twidle my thumbs,

pray.

I am still waiting for you.
