Because I Love You
When I first met you, it felt as if butterflies were flapping their wings across my stomach.
When we went on our first date, I wanted to run into your arms, hug you as if I had not seen you in years, and kiss you ever so gently; and it would not matter that we were in public.
But because it was the first date, I did not want to come off weird and creepy.
I remember how most nights we would be on face time for hours talking eachother's ear off, and right before you went to sleep you would say "goodnight sweetie."
Since then, I made a promise to myself that if we were to ever be together I would treat you as if you were the last molecule of oxygen in a gas chamber. I would be good to you.
Now that you are officially my "boo", and I, your "babygirl", my days are filled with skies as bright as the ocean blue.
It amazes me each and everyday how much chemistry we share with one another.
Not a day goes by when we do not share luminous smiles, go on a adventure, or play fight like sister and brother.
Our love is like music, and you are my favorite love song.
Love, you are the only one for me, and I will admire you all the day long.
Love, I will never have to say that "my man is my man is your man heard that's her man too."
Love, I never knew I would feel this way about someone as amazing as you.
Because I love you, I will not forsake you or make you feel less than what you are worth.
You are worth more than treasure and gold, and I am thankful that your mother gave you birth.
