Because I love you

Because I love you, my stomach feels like a thousand butterflies scambling around to break free.

To break free the way you helped me break free.

Break free of my inner demons and my vices.

Essentially break free of me.

I love you because you saved my life.

The late nights that I spents crying out to God for peace of mind are now filled with late night thoughts of you.

Because I love you I became obsessed with my love for you.

I put your happiness before myself.

Because I love you I could finally feel something, something  real.

Because I loved you I thought you would do anything for me.

You told me that I was your everything.

Everything.

A ten lettered word that meant we would be us forever.

Because I love you... I lost myself.

I turned into the girl that I never thought I would be.

Late nights wonder where you went.

Were you out with her?

But you told me that I was your everything.

And maybe thats the key.

WAS.

I was your everything.

Because I love you... I believed that you were everything that mattered.

I lost track of myself.

You were all that mattered.

Now there are no more I love yous instead we're just screaming "yeah well I fucking hate you too!"

The manipulation, and the lies.

I let myself believe that it was all okay over a guy.

Because I loved you...

And I guess thats key loved you.

Because I loved you I made a promise to myself that I would learn to love me the way I so desperately loved you.

Because what you gave me wasn't love.

I am not just an item you can use and discard when convenient.

I am not a toy.

Because I loved you...

I realized who the fuck are you to make me feel like I'm not the queen that I am.

Because I love you...

I'm always going to remember that I have to love me too.
