Because I Love You

Because I love you

Bump bump

You were that constant feeling in my chest that

Bump bump

You kept me going

Made me happy

You were my everything

Bump bump

We already hung out with the same crowd

and were always at the same events

So we might as well date

Everyone else said

Bump bump

It was great

At first

All the dates

The memories

The laughs

The pictures taken

They were all worth it

Bump bump

But slowly you drifted away from me

Tired of me you became

I was no longer interesting

I was plain

I was no longer your

Bump bump

I stayed

Hoping it would get better

I waited and waited

Waiting for my

bump bump

To come back

But you never did

Bump

You never called me or texted me

Or acknowledged me

He’s just busy right now

Everyone else said

I was being ridiculous

“You’re the perfect couple”

They all said

But were we?

Is happiness only a relative term

That only applies when are with the people you love

Is it okay for that happiness to go away when you are apart

Or when one of you is busy

Bump

Why didn’t you take the time

5 minutes everyday

A simple good morning

A simple goodnight

That's all i wanted

And i would have stayed

You would still be my

Bump bump

I tried

Oh I tried

With every part of my being

Because I couldn’t deny the way I felt when I was with you

All I wanted to do was be your

Bump bump

But I guess with every part of my being

That bump bump

Could not bring you back

All because I love you.
