Because I Love You

I let you in at the beginning, because I love you.

I grew to like onions and watching horror movies, because I love you.

I lost every friend, every other relationship, because I love you.

I spent every waking moment thinking about you, because I love you.

I forgave you when you lashed out at me, because I love you.

I begged for you to take me back, because I love you.

I blamed myself when you hit me, because I love you.

I left you, which shattered my heart, because I love you.

I know that if you wanted to, I'd take you back, because I love you.
