Because I love you, I will change myself completely and be somone new

Because I love you, I will forgive you for not doing what you promised you would do

Because I love you, I will tolerate your lies

Because I love you, I will wipe away my tears so no one knows I've cried

Because I love you, I will hide the bruises on my arm

Because I love you, I'll pretend you do no harm

Because I love you, I will do everything you say

Because I love you, I will stay even though I know I should get away

Because I love me, I will find the courage to leave

Because I love me, I will set my heart free

Because I love me, I will wait for the person who treats me right

Because I love me, I will wait for the person that I don't have to fight with every night

Because I love me, I will wait for the person who truly loves me

<p>The begining of the poem is about a person who is in an unhealthy relationship, towards the end the charcter realizes this and finds the strength to leave and realizes what a healthy relationship is. I hope this helps people who are in similar situations. </p>
