Because i love you, we are still together 

because you respected our "now and forever"

because you made me see the light in the dark

because you stood by me from the start

because that day when i was crying on the stairs

wrecked, messed up and didnt even want you there

you held me tight and wiped my tears

and smiled and said life isnt fair

because you saw me without my make up on

and said i was beautiful, didnt try to run

because you saw my scars and caressed it 

instead of staring at it with judgement 

because you are more happy when i have good news to share
