Because I love you...

Because I love you....

I won't betray, and I won't delay

to say everything that a woman should say.

Because I love you, I will let you know,

the person you are and the person I know

is the man that makes my whole world glow.

Because I love you, I will trust in you

even though it is hard, because you know better than others,

that my heart has been marred.

Because I love you, I can't watch you slip

back into the abyss with death's dark kiss.

Because I love you, I'll stay to the end,

holding your hand as the you round the last bend.

Because I love you, I still swoon at the sight

of the man in that bed, who's fighting for his life.

Because I love you, I wrote this poem,

to tell you I love you as you travel to your heavenly home.
