Because I Love You
Because I Love You by Mario Ramirez-Arrazola
I came home to you on a Monday and found you on the kitchen table,
you had everything in front of you but a single smile.
The first thing you said is "Where have you been?!"
I said, "Oh, not again."
The same thing as last week but just another day.
Last week, I recall, you were pacing.
Because you didn't know where your ring went.
Now you are to tears,
because you didn't know where I wen't.
But,
Because I Love You
I asked you whats wrong.
And told you "I'm here."
I even got a napkin to wipe of the tears.
And next time, maybe even next week
I know you'll need my help.
And I'll be there and there and there, again and again and again.
Because I Love You and You Love Me.
