Because I Love You

Nothing is sacred and nothing is special

Since no one is perfect, and since we're all someone's vessel

Since we never even think of ourselves for once

Since we are always caught up in another person's love

We will sacrifice our own joy for longer than a while

Just in hopes that one day we will see our love smile

But little do we think of ourselves at times

We all try to garner attention from this girl or this guy

It seems in attempts to love someone else

We all have forgotten how to love ourselves

Maybe we need to understand love clearer

And have a look of adoration and confidence when we look in the mirror

To have the confidence to stand up tall and say

"Because I love you, I will start loving me today."
