Means a thing or two.

Love has a connection to honesty.

This is an essential key.

So do not use love to justify

Even the simplest little lie.

Do not misuse trust then ask love to defend

Why someone's belief in you should not bend.

When love is present, freedom is, too.  

You and your partner won't always agree on every issue. 

But that is what compromise is for.

Sometimes you get less and sometimes you get more. 

Do not manipulate your partner to think like you.

True love allows the other person to be opinionated, too. 

When love is present you should be aware,

Of how your partner is feeling, and actually care.

Love is also tied to support.

Do not ever cut your partner short.

Along with your love show your partner respect, 

And do not make them feel any type of neglect.

You cannot use love to rationalize

Any jealousy hidden inside your eyes.

You cannot cheat and use love to explain

Why your parnter should not feel any pain.

Because loyalty is love's best friend, 

Do not ever let your loyalty end.

You should not use love to validate

Control, criticism, or anything that can relate.

Your partner does not deserve that.

Do not make their hapiness fall flat.

If there is love then encouragement should follow.

Help your partner feel full not hollow.

Do not use love as a way to condone

Why you keep walking away and make them feel alone. 

Love gives people the power to rely

On someone that they can hold so nigh.

Love is something that should be cherished,

But in some cases love has perished.

Love should not be used in a negative way.

Love is not a game to play.

"Because I love you" is the best way by far

To explain why you love someone for who they are.
